Cash 3 is simple to play but has a bit of a complex prize tier system, making it tricky to know what to do right off the bat. To make it clear, we’ve laid it all out:
Cash 3 has several different play types - including Exact Order, Any Order, Exact/Any, or Combo - that influence what you need to match to win prizes.
Head to a lottery retailer and pick a set of three numbers between 0 and 9. You can select Quick Pick to get them at random or even our Cash 3 Number Generator. Be sure to choose only one number per column on your playslip.
Each ticket costs either $0.50 or $1.00 with higher wagers generally leading to higher payouts. The $1 wager allows you to play your numbers in Exact Order, Any Order, Exact/Any or as a Combo. The smaller $0.50 tickets allow you to play your numbers in Exact Order or Any Order only.
You can play your set(s) of numbers for one or more drawings — Morning, Midday, or Evening. There are three drawings every day except Sunday, which only has an Evening draw. On your playslip, mark the draw time you want to play (Morning, Midday, or Evening). If you’d like your numbers in multiple consecutive draws, mark Next 2, Next 3, or the number of upcoming draws you wish to play. You may also play your numbers for multiple days (up to 7 days) by marking the appropriate Days box. You can reuse the same set of numbers for multiple draws or days, you do not have to choose new numbers each time. However, you cannot combine the “Next Draws” option with the “Days” option on the same playslip.

Exact Order - To win, your three chosen numbers must match the winning numbers in the exact order they are drawn.
Any Order - You win if your three chosen numbers match the winning numbers in any order. The potential prize amount varies depending on whether your numbers are unique (a 6-way win) or contain a pair (a 3-way win).
Exact/Any - This wager combines both an Exact Order and an Any Order bet on a single ticket. You can win both prizes if the numbers match exactly, and a smaller Any Order prize if they match in any other combination.
Combination - This option covers all possible Exact Order combinations for your chosen three-digit number. For example, if you bet on the digits 1-2-3, you are effectively placing an Exact Order bet on 123, 132, 213, 231, 312, and 321. The cost is higher, but so is the payout. A combo for Cash 3 can cost between $3 and $6.

This refers to how many ways the numbers can be ordered. A 6-Way play is so-called because it has three different numbers and can be arranged into six different combinations. For example, 1-2-3 can be ordered as 123, 132, 213, 231, 312, and 321. A set of three digits that includes a pair (e.g. 3-3-4) can only be ordered three ways (334, 343 and 433)
