Daily 4 is an exciting Michigan Lottery game offering chances to win twice a day. The top prize is $5,000 for matching four numbers in exact order, but there are lots of other different ways to win.

Choose how to play from the list of bet types that are available - Straight, Box, Wheel, 2-Way, and 1-Off (more information below).
Select four numbers between 0 and 9. You can choose your own or mark the ‘Easy Pick’ option if you would prefer to have the numbers randomly selected for you. In Daily 4, you may select the same number more than once. You have the option to complete up to five panels per payslip.
Select a number in the multiple draw wagers area to play up 60 consecutive drawings with your chosen numbers. Decide whether to play your numbers in the next Midday (MID) or Evening (EVE) draw.
Check your selections and pay for your tickets at a cost of $1 per play. Ticket sales close at 12:49 PM ET for the Midday draw, and 7:08 PM ET for the Evening draw.
Straight - You win if the numbers you chose match the numbers drawn in the same order. For example:

2-Way - This type of bet splits a $1 wager between a Straight and a Box, with $0.50 going on each style. You win both parts of the bet if you match the numbers in exact order, or just the Box prize if the numbers appear in a different order.
Wheel - You win on a Wheel wager if your numbers match in any order. The difference to a Box is that you pay to enter each combination as a separate Straight, so a wager 4-Way Wheel costs $4, a 6-Way Wheel costs $6, and so on.
Box - For a Box wager, you just need to match all four numbers in any order. Box bets can be 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way, or 24-Way depending on how many unique digits you pick. More Ways = better odds but lower prizes.

1-Off - You win if your numbers match the numbers drawn in the same order (Straight) or if one of your digits is one up or one down from the numbers drawn. For example:

From time to time, the Michigan Lottery runs extra draws to give you more chances to win. For example, in March 2024, a 'Red Ball Double Draw' took place after the Daily 4 Evening draw. In this bonus draw, a single ball was drawn from a set of six - one ball was red and the rest were white.
If the red ball was drawn, a second set of Daily 4 numbers was selected. This extra draw would follow the usual Daily 4 rules with all the same prizes, and if you had a ticket for the Evening draw you would just have an extra chance to win.
If the white ball was drawn, no Double Draw would be held. However, that white ball is removed from the pool, increasing the chances of the red ball coming out the next night. White balls would continue to be removed until the red ball was drawn, and then all the balls would return to the machine for the next night.
You can buy tickets for the Midday draw until 12:49 PM ET, and for the Evening draw until 7:08 PM ET. Ticket sales for the next draw resume at 12:51 PM for Midday and 7:10 PM for Evening.

You can play up to 60 consecutive draws by marking a number in the ‘Multiple Draw Wagers’ area of your playslip.
You have to match all your numbers and meet the requirements of your bet type. If you play a 1-Off wager and match three of the four winning numbers, and the other digit is one high or one low, you do receive a payout.
No. Unlike Daily 3, the cost per play in Daily 4 is a fixed $1. For the 2-Way play style however, the $1 bet is divided in two, representing $0.50 on the Straight portion of the bet, and $0.50 on the Box. Prizes are also halved accordingly.
Prize payouts are always proportional to the odds of winning. If you play a 4-Way Box, where three of the numbers are the same, there are only four possible winning combinations. Were you to play a 12-Way Box (for example), you’d have 12 possible winning combinations, so the odds would be better, and the prize lower as a result.
