Draws take place twice every day; the Day draw is held at 1:35 PM ET, with ticket sales closing at 1:05 PM ET and the Evening draw takes place at 6:59 PM ET, and sales closing at 6:57 PM ET.

There are three play types to choose from - Straight, Box or Straight/Box. See the Play Types section for more information about each one.
Pick four digits from 0 to 9, or go for the Quick Pick option if you would prefer your numbers to be randomly computer-generated.
You can play the same digits multiple times, which will actually affect your odds and prizes for some play types. For Box and Straight/Box plays, using more duplicate digits will reduce your odds of winning but to balance this, the potential payout is increased.
Choose how much to wager per game - $0.50 or $1 (a Straight/Box is fixed at $1, equivalent to $0.50 for each bet type). The amount you wager partly determines how much you can win.
Enter the Day draw at 1:35 PM ET, Evening draw at 6:59 PM ET, or both. You can use the "Number of Draws" section on your playslip to enter your numbers in up to seven drawings in advance.
For extra chances at winning combinations, add on the Wild Ball option to your ticket! A one-digit Wild Ball number is selected at the start of each draw, and this number can replace one of the lottery's numbers for that draw, generating more ways to win. Wild Ball doubles the cost of your play type and if you rely on the Wild Ball for a win then the payouts are also different. Visit the Wild Ball page to learn more.
Straight - Requires you to match the lottery's numbers in the exact order drawn.
Box - You win by matching the numbers, no matter what order they're in.
Straight/Box - This type of wager splits your ticket cost in two, with half on each play type - match in exact order to win both prizes, or any other order to win just the Box prize.

No, it can replace one of the drawn numbers. For example, if the winning numbers are 1234 and the Wild Ball is 0, it creates the new combinations 1230, 1204, 1034 and 0234. The numbers you play do not change.
