Daily 4 is a fun West Virginia game which gives you the power to decide how you want to play, with a top prize that is worth 5,000 times your wager amount. Drawings are held every day at 6:59 PM, with the cut-off time for ticket sales 10 minutes beforehand at 6:49 PM (Eastern Time).

The amount you wager determines how much you can win, and in Daily 4 you can play for either $0.50 or $1 (apart from Exact/Any, which is a fixed $1). For Combo plays, your ticket cost is equal to the number of 'Ways' you've played, multiplied by the dollar value of your wager, and can be from $2 to $24. Decide how many consecutive drawings you want to play, up to a maximum of 24.
Exact - To win, all four of your numbers must match the four drawn numbers in the correct order.
Any - You win if you match all four of the drawn numbers - the order isn't important.
Exact/Any - Half your wager goes on ‘Exact’, and half on ‘Any’. You win both parts of the prize if you match all the numbers exactly, or just the ‘Any’ prize if the numbers appear in a different order.
Combo - Every possible ‘Exact’ combination of your selected numbers is entered separately, so you can win the Exact prize with Any odds, but you have to pay for each combination.
Unless you play an ‘Exact’ wager, the combination of numbers you play is important in determining your odds of winning, the available prize, and, for Combo bets, the cost of your ticket.
Essentially, using the same number multiple times will reduce your odds of winning for play types you can win by matching in any order. This is because duplicates reduce the number of ways you can arrange your digits, and each way represents a chance to win. To compensate for this, playing fewer Ways offers a bigger prize for Any plays, while Combo tickets are substantially cheaper if you play fewer Ways.
4-Way - 1112 - Three identical digits and one unique. There are four possible combinations of these numbers: 1112, 1121, 1211, and 1112.
6-Way - 1122 - Two pairs of identical digits.
12-Way - 1123 - Two unique digits, and one pair of identical digits.
24-Way - 1234 - If you play four unique digits, there are 24 ways they can be arranged.
