Mass 3
Mass 3 is an iLottery-exclusive Massachusetts draw game. The premise is simple, and other versions of it are played across the USA (commonly known as Pick 3, if you’re familiar). You could win $500 on a $1 play by matching just three numbers from 0 to 9! Draws are held daily at 10:00 PM ET. Ticket sales close shortly beforehand at 9:55 PM.
How to Play
Choose Numbers - First, select the three digits from 0 to 9 you'll be playing, or opt for a random Quic Pic. If you're going to choose a play type where you can win by matching the numbers in any order, picking duplicate digits will affect your odds and prizes – read more in our Ways to Play section below.
Pick a Play Type - Next, decide which of the play types you want your ticket to use. These are the rules determining how your numbers need to match the winning numbers in order to pick up a prize, and the value of that prize. You can check out all the different play types in the section below.
Decide the Wager Amount - In Mass 3, players decide how much to wager per play. The minimum wager amount is $0.50, but you can also wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, or $10 per play. This option doesn't change anything except the prizes, which increase in direct proportion to the wager amount – e.g. the prize for a $10 play is simply 10x the prize a $1 play would offer.
Add the Wicked Bonus? - The Wicked Bonus is an optional add-on for Mass 3 that doubles the cost of your play and gives you extra chances to win prizes. In each draw, three main digits are selected, plus a fourth 'Wicked' digit. If you use the add-on, this digit can be used to replace any of the three main numbers, giving you extra shots at winning a prize – it's even possible to win multiple Wicked Bonus prizes plus the main game prize in a single draw if the numbers are right. Prizes won using the Wicked number are lower than regular prizes.
How Many Draws? - Finally, you'll need to decide how many draws you want to enter your numbers in. By default, your play will only be valid for the next upcoming draw, although you can opt to enter the next 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, or 20 draws.
Prizes and Odds of Winning
The top prize in Mass 3 is $500, which you can win by matching all three numbers in the order they're drawn, on an Exact ticket. If you opt for a Any ticket, you can win a prize by matching the numbers in any order. Check the table below to see what other prizes you can win. The table shows the prizes for $0.50 and $1 plays - if you wagered more on your ticket, simply multiply the $1 prize by the dollar value of your wager to find out what you stand to win.

Wicked Bonus Prizes & Odds
The Wicked Bonus is an optional add-on for Mass 3 and Mass 4. In each draw, an additional digit from 0 to 9 is randomly selected alongside the main digits. If you've played the Wicked Bonus on your ticket, you can use this digit to replace any one of the main winning numbers, giving you additional chances to win. Using the Wicked Bonus totally changes your odds of winning for each play type, and the prizes are different too.
You can still win main-game prizes if you add the Wicked Bonus but end up not needing it. You can even win multiple Wicked Bonus prizes in the same draw, if the numbers are right. Check below for the Wicked Bonus odds and prizes (all prizes shown are for $1 wagers. Multiply a prize by the dollar-value of your wager to calculate other prizes).

Mass 3 Play Types
Here are the different play types to choose from when playing Mass 3:
Exact - You must match all three digits in the order they're drawn.
Any - You can win by matching all three digits in any order.
Exact/Any - Also known as a 50/50 play, your wager is split in two. Match in drawn-order to win half the value of both prizes, or match in any other order to win half the value of the Any prize.
Combo - This play type lets you win the top Mass 3 prize by matching the winning digits in any order. However, this play type costs more – in practice, you're purchasing every possible number combination as an individual Exact ticket.
First 2, Last 2, and First & Last - Select whether you want to match the front two digits, the back two digits, or the front and back digits minus the middle. Win by matching these in the correct positions. Since you only need to match two digits, these three play types have the best winning odds.
Ways to Play
For all play types that involve matching the winning numbers in any order, selecting duplicate digits will affect your odds and prizes. This is because every possible number combination you can make with your digits is a shot at the prize – but you can arrange 123 in six different ways, but 122 can only be arranged three ways. This is known as the number of Ways you play. In Mass 3, you can play 3-Ways or 6-Ways*.
Here's how this is balanced to make things fair: 3-Way Any Order plays have better prizes but worse odds. 3-Way Combination plays have worse odds but cost less than a 6-Way Combination.
*Playing the same digit three times isn't counted as a "1-Way", as these are automatically entered as Exact plays.
