Easy 5, as the name suggests, is a simple and easy game to get into, since it follows the traditional lottery format we're all used to. Here's a step-by-step guide to making your play:
Once you've got your play slip at the store (or logged into your Louisiana Lottery Mobile App), select five numbers from 1 to 37. Alternatively, request a Quick Pick to receive a random, computer-generated line. Ask the retailer for 10 Quick Picks on a single ticket, and they'll oblige! Usually, tickets only have room for five plays.
For an extra $1 per play, you can add ezmatch to your ticket, an optional instant-win game played alongside Easy 5. When your ticket is printed, it'll come with five additional random numbers - these ezmatch numbers are all assigned a prize value, and if any of your main numbers match the ezmatch numbers, you'll win the prize. The top prize is $250, but it's possible to win multiple times per play, so you could win even more!
Using your slip, it's possible to enter your numbers in 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or 20 consecutive draws in advance.
Hand your old ticket to the retailer and ask for an Instant Replay to get a fresh ticket with the same numbers and Multidraw options as before! The Louisiana Lottery also offers ticket bundles, where players can quickly get a mix of Quick Pick tickets for different games, including other Louisiana games like Lotto, and multi-state games like Powerball.
Easy 5 draws are held at 9:59 PM CT.
Ticket sales for Easy 5 draws are closed at 9:30 PM CT, 29 minutes before the draw takes place.
It's possible to play ezmatch on a Multidraw ticket, but the numbers will only apply to the next upcoming draw.
The Easy 5 jackpot starts at $50,000, and it's currently estimated at $60,000 for the next draw.
Claiming Louisiana Lottery prizes is straightforward, but the route you take will depend on how much you've won. Prizes under $600 can be claimed at any LA Lottery retailer, or by mail (the only way to claim if you're no longer in Louisiana). Prizes greater than $600 can only be claimed by mail or at the LA Lottery HQ in Baton Rouge. For more details, we'd recommend checking our main Louisiana Lottery page.
Louisiana Lottery prizes, including Easy 5 and ezmatch, can only be claimed within 180 days of the winning draw. Once this limit has passed, all unclaimed prizes will expire, and are added to the lottery's Unclaimed Prizes Fund; a special pot used only to fund scratch-off payouts and player promotions.
