Win up to $500 on a $1 wager and the best top-prize odds of any Louisiana Lottery game! Pick 3 is a popular lottery played in many states across the US, including the Pelican State. Unlike multi-state games (such as Powerball) however, each state holds its own draws, and the rules tend to be slightly different from state to state. On this page, you'll find all about playing Pick 3 in Louisiana.
Draws are held every day at 9:59 PM CT, so you're never more than a day away from a chance to win!
Pick 3 has more prize categories than most lotteries, due to all the different play types. Check the table below to find how much you can win for each play. To keep things concise, we've only shown prizes for $0.50 and $1 wagers. If you wagered more, you can calculate the prize by multiplying the prize values proportionately.

Pick 3 offers players a lot of choice putting together their tickets, so it's important to understand how those choices affect your plays. Our guide below explains in full:
Before you choose your numbers, you should consider how you want to match them in order to win a prize. You can only win the prize for the play type on your ticket, so pick carefully. See the Play Types section for more details.
Next, select three digits from 0 to 9 that you want to match. Duplicate digits are fine to choose, but they'll affect the odds of winning your play and the potential prizes! Check the prize table for more info.
In Pick 3, you can choose how much you’d like to wager on your ticket. You can bet $0.50, $1, or $5 per play, with some exceptions. The $0.50 wager is unavailable for Straight/Box plays, and Combo plays will cost 3X your wager if you have two duplicate digits, or 6X if they’re all unique.
Enter your ticket in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 14 consecutive draws using the Multidraw box on your playslip. Alternatively, rather than entering the next upcoming draw, Advance Play lets you get tickets further ahead in the week.
Straight - Match all three digits in drawn-order.
Box - Match all three digits in any order.
Straight/Box - Match all three numbers to win the $0.50 Box prize. If they’re in drawn-order, you also win the $0.50 Straight prize.
Combo - Enter all possible combinations of your number as a separate straight. Costs more than other plays, but offers the best odds for the top prize.
Pick 3 draws are held at 9:59 PM CT each day.
Pick 3 ticket sales are cut off for the upcoming draw 29 minutes beforehand, at 9:30 PM CT.
Pick 3 prizes under $600 can be claimed at any LA Lottery retailer, or by mail. If you've won more than that (you'd have had to play a $5 wager to do so!) then you have the option to claim by mail, or at a branch of the LA Lottery offices. You can read a full guide to claiming prizes over on the main Louisiana Lottery page.
