Louisiana Pick 4 is the daily Pelican State game which offers prizes of up to 5,000 times your wager amount. There are various ways you can play, so strategy is a key part of the game. Find out everything you need to know below, from how to take part to all the different odds and prizes.
Draws are held at 9:59 PM CT every day, with a four-digit combination from 0000 to 9999 selected at random.

There are a few steps to playing Pick 4, so it’s useful to know how you want to play before you head to one of the LA Lottery’s retailers to buy a ticket.
Before choosing your numbers, decide how you want to try to match the winning combination – the options are Straight, Box, Straight/Box or Combo. See the Play Types section for more information.
Select the four numbers that you want to play. You can choose your own or ask for a Quick Pick if you’re happy to go with a random selection.
Pick 4 allows you to decide how much you want to wager. Bet as little as $0.50 or double it to a $1 wager for the chance to win twice as much. If you play a Straight/Box, this is fixed at $1 per play. For Combo wagers, your bet amount is multiplied by the number of ‘ways’ you play (see the Play Types section).
Use the multi-draw option to enter your numbers into as many as 14 consecutive drawings. Alternatively, the Advance Play option allows you to play up to six days in the future.
There’s an Instant Replay option where you can hand in an old ticket and ask for the same selection to be used, or you can opt for a Ticket Bundle and instantly get a selection of Quick Picks for a variety of LA Lottery games.

Straight - Match all four digits in drawn-order.
Box - Match all four digits in any order.
Straight/Box - Match all four numbers in any order to win the $0.50 Box prize. You also win the $0.50 Straight prize if they are selected in drawn-order.
Combo - Enter all possible combinations of your number as separate Straight wagers. The cost is 4X, 6X, 12X or 24X your wager amount.
For Box, Straight/Box and Combo wagers, the number of ways you play is also an important factor. This depends on the combination of your numbers, as described below.
4-Way – Three of the four numbers are identical, for example 1112. This can be arranged four ways (1112, 1121, 1211 and 2111).
6-Way – Two sets of pairs, such as 3344
12-Way - Two identical numbers and two unique numbers, for example 5567
24-Way – Four different numbers, e.g. 8901.
The cut-off time for ticket sales is 9:30 PM CT each day.
You must be at least 21 years old to play LA Pick 4.
All Louisiana Lottery prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date.
