How the Generator Works

The standard generator works a bit like a Quick Pick. The numbers are produced using a computer algorithm that ensures each number from 1 to 59 has an equal chance of appearing. It is completely random except that none of them are repeated.

The big difference to a Quick Pick is that you can preview the generated numbers before deciding whether to play them or not. It may be that you are happy with the first set that is given to you, or you might want to look at other number sequences before committing to one. If you’re using statistical or astrological numbers, it will factor those into the random generation as much as you want.

The generator does not provide you with a Bonus number because you are only required to pick six numbers when you play NY Lotto. The Bonus is an extra number that is only drawn to give you a chance of winning a bigger prize if you match five of the main six.
