MI Lottery Launches Daily 3 Red Ball Double Draw Promotion for July
Wednesday July 1st 2026Michigan Lottery fans will get extra chances to win throughout July 2026 thanks to a new promotion - the Red Ball Double Draw. The promotion is linked to the Daily 3 Evening game and applies to draws from Monday through Saturday. Find out everything you need to know.
How it Works
From a player’s perspective, all you need to do is buy a ticket for a Daily 3 Evening draw in July. You will automatically be in the running at no extra cost.
After the regular Evening draw takes place, the MI Lottery will hold a special ‘Double Draw’. This involves loading five white balls and one red ball into a drum and picking one at random. If a white ball is selected, it will be set aside and another ‘Double Draw’ will take place the next night, this time with just four white balls and one red ball.
When the red ball is drawn, it triggers a second Daily 3 Evening draw. This will work exactly the same as a regular draw, with three digits from 0 to 9 selected at random. Your ticket from the initial draw will be entered into this draw too, effectively giving you another chance to win for free.
After the red ball has been drawn, all the balls are loaded back into the drum ahead of the next evening. The promotion runs from July 1, so the red ball is guaranteed to be drawn at least four times.
Daily 3 Odds and Prizes
Daily 3 is available to play at all 10,500 Michigan Lottery retailers across the Great Lakes State. There is a 12:59 PM ET Midday draw and a 7:29 PM ET Evening draw.
You can choose from several play types - Straight, Box, Wheel, 2-Way and 1-Off. This relates to whether you want to try to match the numbers in exact order (Straight) or any order (Box). A 2-Way combines both methods, while a Wheel involves playing a Straight on every possible combination of your numbers. You can decide whether to wager $0.50 or $1 per play. The prizes on offer depend on your wager amount and bet type, but the most you can win is $250 for a $0.50 wager or $500 for a $1 wager. The odds of matching three numbers in exact order are 1 in 1,000.
