Cash 4
Cash 4 is a player-favorite draw game with a top prize of $5,000. With several drawings daily and multiple play types, there are plenty of ways to win. A $1.00 play can win up to $5,000, and a $0.50 wager can win up to $2,500. Cash 4 is played in Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee, with other states offering a very similar game called Pick 4, Daily 4 or Play 4. The information on this page may vary slightly by state.
How to Play
Pick a four-digit number from 0000 to 9999 or any combination, like 1234. Any or all of the numbers can be the same. Mark the numbers on a playslip. You can play up to five times per playslip; each area is marked "Play" with a letter A-E.
Alternatively, mark the Quick Pick box and your numbers will be randomly generated.
You can play your numbers for multiple consecutive draws; just mark the number of draws you wish to play and the draw times.
You can also choose to play a specific day of the week, rather than today - mark the day of the week you want to play.
Play Styles
There are a number of play styles to choose from for different ways to win. The lowest amount you can play on Cash 4 is $0.50, and there are different wager amounts for different play types.
For the Straight and Box play types, you have a choice of playing $0.50 or $1.00. The Straight / Box play style cost $1.00, and Combo plays cost between $2-$24 because they have more ways to win.
- Straight (Exact Match): Match the winning numbers in the order drawn. Wager: $0.50 or $1.00. Top prize: $5,000.
- Box (Any Order): Match the winning numbers in any order. Wager: $0.50 or $1.00. Top prize: $1,198.
- Straight / Box (Exact Match OR Any Order): Wager: $1.00 (a $0.50 play for Straight plus a $0.50 play for Box). Top prize: $3,099.
- Combo: Equal to all Straight combinations of a four-digit number. Wager: $2-$24. Top prize: $5,000.

Here's what you could win depending on your play type and wager amount, along with winning combination examples and odds.
What does 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way, and 24-Way mean in the table below? It's explained in the next section, "Winning Combination Examples". Basically, if you choose a number with three digits the same, like 1112, it has fewer winning combinations than a number with all unique digits, like 1234, and the odds and prize amounts reflect this.

Winning Combination Examples
The numbers and play types you choose determine the ways you can win.
A Straight play is won by matching the numbers drawn in the exact order they are drawn. However, with Box, Straight / Box, and Combo play styles, the number you choose determines whether you are playing 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way, or 24-Way.
This sounds confusing, but all it really means is that if you choose a number with three of the same digits, like 1112, there are only four ways the digits can be combined to win (4-Way) - it's harder to win, so the prize is higher. At the other end of the spectrum, a number with four unique digits, like 1234, has 24 potential winning combinations (24-Way), so it's easier to win and the prize is lower.
