Arkansas Powerball Player Wins $250 Million Jackpot
Tuesday March 3rd 2026After weeks of build up, somebody finally won the Powerball jackpot again, ending 16 consecutive drawings without a winner.
It’s a very lucky start to the month for an Arkansawyer today. After matching all five numbers plus the Powerball, an estimated $250 million is due to the lucky ticket holder. The jackpot had been rising for the past couple of months, and despite a substantial number of second prize winners — players who matched the five main numbers without the Powerball can win $1,000,000, or $2,000,000 with a 2X Power Play multiplier — it is the first jackpot since someone from North Carolina won on January 21st.
Prior to the North Carolina payout, the previous Powerball jackpot win happened on Christmas Eve 2025, and was one of the biggest jackpots ever won.

The numbers drawn in the most recent Powerball drawing on Monday March 2nd, 2026, were 2, 17, 18, 38, and 62. The Powerball number was 20.
As well as the jackpot winner, a second-tier winner of five numbers also won a prize. Having added the Power Play option (X2), the ticket bought in Puerto Rico won $2 million.
The winner has not yet come forward. This could be because they don’t yet know they’ve won, or they could still be processing this crazy turn of luck. One way or another, we may never know. Lottery winners in The Natural State can stay anonymous for prize winnings bigger than $500,000 under Act 889 for up to three years. After this time passes, their name becomes a matter of public record. So…check back in three years?
The prize’s cash value is $118 million, and the winner can choose a one time lump sum cash payment or opt for lifetime annuity payments, receiving one immediate payment followed by twenty-nine annual payments. Each payment increases by 5% from the previous year.
The Next Drawing
The next Powerball drawing takes place on Wednesday March 4th. With the jackpot won, the minimum jackpot prize now resets to its minimum of $20 million. While less than the amount won here, it’s still a life-changing amount of money. Plus, the 10x Power Play multiplier is available until the jackpot reaches $150 million, making small wins more meaningful, banking you a healthy chunk of extra change.
