Arizona Lottery To Roll Out Several Game Changes in June
Wednesday May 20th 2026Lottery fans in Arizona will soon have a host of new play options to enjoy, including new games and enhancements to current favorites. Learn all about the changes here, including The Pick, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Powerball Double Play.

The Pick
The Pick is Arizona’s own big jackpot game, with a top prize that starts at $1 million and can go much higher. It is now set to get even more fun, with better odds of winning.
The number matrix will change from 6/44 to 6/40, improving the overall chances of winning a prize from 1 in 39 to 1 in 30. The new $2 ticket price will include a built-in multiplier, potentially increasing prize payouts by up to five times their base amount.
An optional extra, called The Pick Plus, will also be available for an additional $1. This is not tied to the main drawings, and instead provides the opportunity to win up to $50.
New Pick 3 Draw Time
Pick 3, a popular daily game, will be getting a second draw time, giving you twice as many chances to take part and win.
In addition to the existing Evening draw, the game will also have a Midday draw at 12:05 PM MT. The game will otherwise stay the same, so you will still have multiple ways to play, including Straight, Box and Pair play.
Pick 4 Set To Launch
The Arizona Lottery is also set to introduce Pick 4 alongside Pick 3. It is a similar game but has bigger prizes, and will also have two draws a day - Midday at 12:05 PM and Evening at 7:05 PM.
To play Pick 4, you simply have to select a four-digit combination from 0000 to 9999 and choose from the available play types. A Straight requires you to match all four numbers in exact order, whereas a Box allows you to match the four drawn digits in any order and still win.
A Straight/Box combines both play types and gives you the best of both worlds as you still get a big payout if you match the numbers in exact order, but you have the back-up of knowing that you also get the Box portion of the prize if you match them in a different order. If you prefer, you can try to match just two numbers in the correct positions and play a Front Pair, Mid Pair or Back Pair.
The full prize matrix has not yet been released, but other versions of Pick 4 across the U.S. give you the chance to win up to $5,000 on a $1 wager.
Powerball Double Play
Double Play will also be available alongside Powerball in Arizona for the first time, giving you an extra chance to win prizes of up to $10 million.
Double Play is currently offered in 27 of the participating Powerball states. It is a separate draw that is held immediately after the main draw, so you don’t need to pick any more numbers. Add the Double Play option to your play, pay the extra $1 to add it on and your Powerball numbers will be entered into the second draw.
The jackpot is a fixed $10 million if you match all five numbers and the Powerball. The other prize categories mirror the main draw but actually offer larger payouts in many tiers.
When Will These Changes Come In?
Mark the date of June 15 on your calendar for these Arizona Lottery changes. That is when the first drawings will take place under the new rules, with tickets going on sale a day earlier.
